Rat pack has a new home, new owner, but will keep trying to bite

BERKELEY, Calif.

(AP) A rat pack has moved into a new house in the Bay Area’s Central Valley, but the owner is still trying to get rid of the rat.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the rat was found living in a bedroom of a home in the Oakland-Alameda-San Francisco-Oakland area.

The owners say they didn’t know the animal was in their home, but they took the rat out and took it to a vet who determined it was healthy and wasn’t rabid.

The animal is now being microchipped and microchips have been sent to the owners.
